Life is laugh-out-loud funny sometimes. Yesterday was the perfect example. We officially launched Daughters of Simone 4 months ago and really only put decent inventory up 3 weeks ago. We’re updating our structure and constantly asking ourselves what we can do to sustainably build this business. We began as two girls who met every Wednesday over homemade dinners and vino to discuss our “passion project” (which had nothing to do with bridal, by the way), and now only a year later, we get thrown this huge curve ball that we never expected coming our way. Heck, I didn’t even know we were a possible target. All I can ask myself is HOW IN THE WORLD DID WE GET HERE? I’m a part of this and I have no idea!
So here comes the curve ball:
Our Daughters of Simone interview with SF Indie Fashion blogger, Lorraine Sanders from a couple weeks back got picked up and featured on the Huffington Post yesterday! We had zero idea this was going to happen. As you can imagine, we’re pretty happy (and shocked) girls! Every single tiny mention via blog or word of mouth means the world to us, so to see our names on The Huffington Post literally brings me to laughter/a state of confusion/unexplainable excitement! Regardless of still being in complete dismay — thanks again for all of the continuous support from our family, friends, friends of friends, customers, and the sweet women who have e-mailed us saying that they hope to become customers in the future. We have a lot of work to do, but this is another nudge to keep the ball rolling!
I am so proud of these girls! Their store is brilliant & their talent is limitless, and I’m so excited to see their work get noticed. Check out of Daughters of Simone, if you haven’t already!
