Splendid Really!

I’m still a sickly little thing today; pathetic, really. Aaron & I have been on the road home from Napa since 2pm. Inclement weather has caused all sorts of freeway closures & car accidents and bumpertobumper traffic, so it’s been 7 hours of driving with no end in sight.

It could be worse though. I could be making this drive by myself in this god awful weather being as sickly & pathetic as I am. Instead, I have this cute driver who manages to take care of me & make me laugh with his pop songs spoken word & goofy dance moves whilst we drive.

As cheesy as it is, that’s what the past year has been like with this dude - even the lamest of things were a little less lame when I was with him. He’s neat.

But enough about him. I can’t wait to be home, even though tomorrow marks the end of the loveliest of holiday vacations & means I’ll be going back to work. I’m excited about the next few months - a lot more opportunities to learn, to improve, & to grow in my company. Plus, friends will be having babies, school will start again, summer will approach…

There is so much to look forward to!

It’s a lot easier to get through the rain when I think of all I have to look forward to :)
