![My coworkers and I put a Christmas tree up in my office today. [Isn’t it lovely?]
The response of my Jewish boyfriend: “What a lovely Chanukah bush!” :)
He and I also decided that for next year’s holiday cards we will focus on embracing each other’s cultures/backgrounds: I will be holding a menorah [per his request], he will be holding a glass figurine of Jesus rising from the dead out of his tomb [per mine].
Him: Isn’t that Easter?
Me: Yes, but you Jews believe that Jesus existed - you need to be holding something that proves he was the Son of God.
Him: Christian school education at it’s finest.
